The Daisy Manufacturing Company known today as Daisy was started in 1882. It began as Plymouth Iron Windmill Company in Plymouth, Michigan. As a promotion it gave away air guns with the sale of each windmill they made. The air guns were so popular at time they starting producing them for sale. Their Red Ryder BB Gun introduced in 1930 is perhaps their best known. Daisy Manufacturing Company had other company’s like Nichols and BCM manufacture cap guns for them.

Popular Daisy Cap Guns included the Daisy cap gun, Daisy Red Rider cap gun, Roy Rogers, Cheyenne, Daisy 45 (made by B.C.M. of England), Daisy 38 (gun of the West), Ramar of the Jungle cap gun, Daisy Kid Six Gun (1960s), Daisy Bullseye (50 Shot Repeater), Daisy Detective, High Chaparral, Six Gun, Peacemaker and Daisy Model 61. They even made a few cap firing rifles like the Cheyenne Rifle and Ramar of the Jungle Rifle. Daisy also made many holsters for their cap guns from other manufacturers. Daisy also sold “Daisy Caps” for their Cap Guns.
